On August 1, 2017, we (FireSide Natural Gas) agreed to transfer all of our residential natural gas customers to True Natural Gas. This transfer will be effective October 1, 2017. While we will continue to serve our commercial and industrial customers moving forward, we will miss the relationship that we have developed with you over the last decade.




What does "my gas service account with FireSide is being transferred to True Natural Gas" mean?
FireSide Natural Gas has reached an agreement with True Natural Gas to transfer all our residential customers to them effective October 1, 2017. Your final invoice from FireSide will include usage and any additional fees accumulated through September 30, 2017. Effective October 1, 2017, your AGL Base Charges will be billed by True Natural Gas in addition to any and all usage charges. There will be no interruption of your gas service.



Will I be charged for this transfer?
Pursuant to Commission Rule 515-7-3-.04 (13)(b), there will not be any fees assessed to you. Also, your right to one free annual switch will not be affected by the transfer to True Natural Gas.



Who is True Natural Gas?
True Natural Gas has been a Marketer since 2002. They are located in Palmetto, Georgia, and are a sister company to Coweta/Fayette EMC. They frequently have the lowest prices posted on the Georgia Public Service Commission website which are posted on the 5th of every month. They also have a near perfect scorecard with the Georgia Public Service Commission, which means they receive very few customer complaints. You will receive a welcome packet from True Natural Gas by the end of October. You can find out more about them at www.truenaturalgas.com. Their customer service line is 770-502-0226.



What happens to the Fixed Price Contract I locked into with FireSide Natural Gas?
True Natural Gas will honor all Fixed Price Contracts which FireSide customers currently have in place. The terms of your current contract, with FireSide, will continue to be honored once you become a customer of True. True Natural Gas will send you notification of your contract expiration at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of your Fixed Price Contract.



What if I don’t want to go with True Natural Gas?
You have the right to select a Marketer of your choice without incurring any switching or exit fees. This must be done on or before December 19, 2017. A list of all Marketers can be found at http://www.psc.state.ga.us/content.aspx?c=/list-of-certified-marketers-and-contact-information/. Simply contact the Marketer of your choice to request your service to be switched. However, if the customer switches to another marketer after December 19th 2017, True Natural Gas will NOT be responsible for any switching and exit fees.



What is significant about the 19th of the month?
The Atlanta Gas Light system is set up so all switches take place on the 20th of the month. For example, If you switch to Marketer A on or before the 19th of October, you will become Marketer A’s customer on the 1st of November. If you switch to Marketer A on or after the 20th of October you will become Marketer A’s customer on the 1st of December.



My account is on Auto Draft, will it transfer to True Natural Gas?
No, please contact True Natural Gas upon receipt of your first bill to establish an automatic draft agreement with them.



I have a credit balance on my FireSide account. When will I get my money?
All credit balances remaining with FireSide after your final invoice will be returned to you via check no later than November 15, 2017.



I have a past due balance on my FireSide account. Will that balance transfer to True Natural Gas?
No, you will be responsible for paying FireSide directly for charges accumulated by September 30th. Any unpaid balances due to FireSide will be reported to all 3 credit reporting agencies and referred to a 3rd party collections agent.



I have a commercial account with FireSide. What will happen to the commercial account?
It will stay with FireSide. Nothing will change.



I am a PrePay Customer and True Natural Gas does not have a PrePay program, what happens to my account?
Your residential gas account will be transferred to True Natural Gas. True Natural Gas will honor all Fixed Price Contracts which FireSide customers currently have in place. The terms of your current contract, with FireSide, will continue to be honored once you become a customer of True. True Natural Gas will send you notification of your contract expiration at least 30 days prior to the expiration date of your Fixed Price Contract. True Natural Gas will not require a customer deposit. Any PrePaid amounts collected by FireSide and not applied toward an outstanding balance at the end of your term of service with FireSide will be refunded to you by November 1, 2017.
