How To Apply

Whether you are Switching, Establishing, or Transferring natural gas service, FireSide Natural Gas will make the process as easy as possible for you.

If you are SWITCHING to FireSide

  • In order to determine eligibility for service, FireSide will process a credit application.
  • The credit application must be completed by the primary account holder.
    • For example- Mary and Bob Smith currently have service with X marketer and they would like to switch to FireSide. X marketer has Bob as the primary account holder, Bob will need to submit the credit application to ensure the switch processes correctly.
  • If you sign up before the 19th of the month your switch will become effective the first day of the following month.
  • If you switch on the 19th or later the change will become effective on the first day of the month thereafter.
  • FireSide will not charge a fee or deposit to switch. However, any selection made by you may be subject to a charge of $7.50 for switching service to FireSide or changing service back to another provider. This charge is regulated by the Georgia Public Service Commission and is subject to change.
  • We will contact Atlanta Gas Light to get your service changed.
  • A processed switch is automatic. You will not need to contact your current marketer. They will automatically be notified of your request to switch to FireSide.

If you need to ESTABLISH year round natural gas service

  • In order to determine eligibility for service, FireSide will process a credit application.
  • You will be charged a total of $50.00 to establish first time service.
  • If your property requires a meter to be set, or when an existing meter has been set only for temporary service to a builder, contractor or developer prior to occupancy, you will be charged a meter set fee of $75.00.
  • Please allow 3 to 5 business days for the service to be connected.

If you need to ESTABLISH seasonal natural gas service

There are customers who only use natural gas for heating. Many seasonal customers choose to only establish service for the months in which they will use natural gas.

  • In order to determine eligibility for service, FireSide will process a credit application.
  • You will be charged a total of $75.00 to seasonally reconnect.
  • Reconnect Tip- You can make the most out of your seasonal savings by calling to have your gas reconnected between the 20th and the last day of the month.
  • Please allow 5 to 7 business days to have the service reconnected during the busy fall season.
  • There is no fee to disconnect service at the end of the season.

Need to TRANSFER natural gas service to new property

  • We make transferring your natural gas service to a new location easy.
  • You will be charged a total of $50.00 to establish service at the new location.
  • If you are a customer on our PrePay program, you will be required to pay the first month's estimated gas charges plus AGLC base charges, any establishment charges, and FireSide customer service fee before service can begin at the new location.
  • Let us know when you would like to turn off service at the location you are transferring from.
  • If you are in contract, the contract will follow you to the new location.
